The motorcycle practical test is made up of several different sections; an eyesight test, safety questions, driving ability test, test maneuvers and a question about riding with a passenger.
The first part of the motorcycle practical test is an eyesight test. The examiner will ask you to read a number plate to demonstrate you can fulfill the legal eyesight requirements. If the examiner is not satisfied you can see adequately he may decide to fail you.
The next stage is to answer two questions relating to the safe operation of the machine. If you answer these correctly you can move onto the practical sections.
Before you begin to ride your instructor will explain how the test will work and will fit you with a radio and earpiece. Your test will involve several manoeuvres including:
You will also be asked a question regarding balance when carrying a passenger.
When you have completed the test your examiner will let you know your result. He or she should also give you feedback on your performance during the test.
